1. Who we are and what this policy covers
3C Waypoint ("3C Waypoint", "we", "us") is a marketing and customer acquisition company serving global trade and logistics firms, operating from the United States. This Privacy Policy applies to this website, the forms and downloads offered on it, our email communications, and the marketing services we deliver to our own clients.
This is a business-to-business website. We do not knowingly direct our services to consumers, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 years of age.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you request a diagnostic, download an e-book, or contact us, we collect the information you submit: name, business email address, company name, role, country, telephone number where provided, and any details you choose to share about your operation.
Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we receive technical data through cookies and similar technologies: IP address, approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and the links you click.
Information from third parties. We may receive information from advertising and analytics platforms, from publicly available business sources, and from our Latin American network partners when a referral is made.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or any category of sensitive personal information as defined by state privacy laws.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to respond to your request, deliver the material you asked for, qualify and follow up on business inquiries, provide and improve our services, send commercial email you may unsubscribe from at any time, measure the performance of our marketing, protect against fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects, and we do not profile individuals for purposes unrelated to the business relationship.
4. We do not sell personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. We do use advertising and analytics technologies that may constitute "sharing" under certain state laws; Section 7 explains how to opt out.
5. When we disclose information
We disclose personal information only in these situations:
Service providers. Companies that operate parts of our infrastructure under contract and may use the data only for us: our customer relationship and email platform, website hosting, analytics and tag management, and advertising platforms.
Network partners. Where you ask to be connected to a buyer, supplier, or representative, we share the business contact details necessary to make that introduction.
Legal and corporate. When required by law, subpoena, or governmental request; to protect our rights, safety, or property; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to govern the information transferred.
6. International transfers
We operate in the United States and work with a network in Brazil and Latin America. Your information may be processed in, or accessed from, countries outside your own, including Brazil. When we transfer information internationally we use contractual protections requiring a level of protection consistent with this policy.
7. Cookies, tracking, and your choices
This site uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: to make the site work, to measure how it is used, and to measure advertising performance. We use Google Tag Manager to administer these tags.
You may control tracking in several ways: adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies; use the Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor as a valid opt-out of sharing where required by law; opt out of Google advertising personalization at adssettings.google.com; or opt out of interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.
Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site function.
8. Your rights under state privacy laws
Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights: to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use it; to obtain a copy of it in a portable format; to correct inaccurate information; to request deletion; to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling; and to be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
These rights are available to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, and to residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comparable statutes in force.
To exercise a right, email contact@3cwaypoint.com or use our contact form, with the request and enough information for us to locate your records. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by another 45 days where permitted, telling you why. We verify requests by matching the information you provide against our records, and we may ask for confirmation from the email address on file. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission that we may verify with you directly.
If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response with the word "appeal" and your reasons. Where your state provides one, you may also file a complaint with your attorney general.
9. Commercial email
Our marketing email complies with the CAN-SPAM Act. Every message identifies us, states a valid postal address, and carries a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing email within ten business days; we may still send messages necessary to an ongoing business relationship, such as replies to your inquiries or delivery of material you requested.
10. Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to maintain the business relationship, or to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Inquiry records are typically retained for 36 months from the last interaction, after which they are deleted or de-identified.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
This site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and state law. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The effective date at the top of the page shows when the current version took effect. Material changes will be announced on this page, and where appropriate by email.
